Singapore’s premier sustainable light art festival is back, and this year it’s bigger, brighter and more interactive than ever. i Light Singapore 2026 transforms Marina Bay and Raffles Place into a walkable outdoor gallery of light, colour and sound from 5 to 28 June 2026. The event is completely free to enter, making it one of the most accessible cultural experiences in the city.
Organised by the Urban Redevelopment Authority and presented by UOB, the festival adopts “Movement” as its central theme this year. This concept explores how people, ideas and communities evolve and interact with urban spaces. The festival aims to unite people from all backgrounds and spark conversations about a more sustainable future through eco-friendly habits.
Dates:
5 – 28 June 2026
Daily Hours:
7:30pm – 10:30pm

Marina Bay (main site) and Raffles Place (satellite site)Admission: FREE (some programmes may have separate charges)
The festival stretches across some of Singapore’s most recognisable landmarks, including the Marina Bay waterfront, Bayfront Event Space, Mist Walk, Marina Boulevard and parts of Raffles Place. Most of the 14 installations are clustered around Marina Bay, with a few satellite pieces at Raffles Place in the city centre.
This year’s edition features 14 light installations created by 17 artists from Singapore, Asia and beyond. Almost all works are interactive, inviting visitors to tap, step, wave or move to trigger captivating responses in light and sound.
Wave by Japanese artist Masamichi Shimada is an interactive work inspired by raindrops hitting water. Visitors can tap ground rods to create ripples of light and sound, visualising the ripple effect through the installation.
Arch Flower by Cyril Lancelin sits at Raffles Place Park and is the only i Light Singapore 2026 art piece located away from Marina Bay. This mesmerising tubular sculpture draws inspiration from Singapore’s tropical gardens and is conveniently located right outside Raffles Place MRT station.
Market Cycles transforms wet market plastic crates into a luminous architectural installation at Mist Walk, showcasing how everyday items can be repurposed into art.
Steps reimagines staircases along Marina Boulevard as a glowing monument symbolising Singapore’s upward progress, inviting visitors to walk through light.
Other notable installations include Barbershop Wonderland, Silent Moments, RESONORA, Infinite Graffiti, Celebration of Life, Let’s Fish the Sun!, Where the Wildflowers Grow, Between Mountains and Seas, Cube Graphics, and Sliced. Each offers a unique interactive experience blending light, sound and movement.
The festival spotlights emerging local talent, with two installations created by Singaporean artists. This focus on local creators adds a unique layer to the international mix, bringing together more than 10 artists from Singapore and across Asia.

Installations use eco-friendly materials and energy-efficient lighting, reinforcing the message of environmental responsibility. Each artwork reflects how our actions – no matter how big or small – can affect the things around us.
Unlike traditional light shows where visitors passively watch, every installation at i Light Singapore 2026 invites interaction. Tapping, stepping, waving or moving triggers responses, turning simple gestures into shared sensory experiences.
General admission to the Festival Village and all light installations is free. This makes it an ideal activity for families, tourists and locals alike without budget concerns.
The festival runs throughout the June holidays, making it a perfect family outing. The interactive nature of the installations appeals to children, while the artistic depth satisfies adults.
With more than 10 artists from Singapore and across Asia, the festival showcases diverse perspectives on movement and sustainability. This regional focus strengthens Singapore’s position as a cultural hub in Asia.
