Nestled in the basement of Lucky Chinatown shopping centre, the New Chinatown Arcade has transformed the entertainment landscape with its impressive 6,000 square feet of gaming space. This multi-concept amusement destination offers an unprecedented variety of activities under one roof, making it a compelling choice for families, friends, and gaming enthusiasts seeking an action-packed outing.

A Futuristic Gaming Paradise

Stepping into the New Chinatown Arcade feels like entering a cutting-edge amusement park. The space captivates visitors with its AI-themed aesthetic, featuring neon lights cascading across sleek black floors, interactive projection walls, and illuminated frames that create an immersive atmosphere. Coloured LED lighting and digital signage clearly demarcate different zones, helping visitors navigate through the expansive facility whilst building anticipation for the adventures ahead.

Located at basement three of Lucky Chinatown, the venue sits just minutes from Chinatown MRT station, making accessibility a breeze for both locals and tourists. The convenient location allows visitors to combine their gaming experience with shopping or dining in the vibrant Chinatown district.

Over 30 Activities with Unlimited Play

The New Chinatown Arcade distinguishes itself by offering more than 30 physical and digital games accessible through a single admission pass. This all-inclusive model means visitors can hop between activities without worrying about individual game charges, maximising both value and enjoyment.

One of the standout attractions is the Floor is Lava game, which brings childhood imagination to life. Participants navigate across colourful tiles on an interactive LED floor, stepping only on safe zones whilst avoiding the “lava”. The game includes multiple difficulty modes, from leisurely introductions to challenging levels. A particularly exciting variation draws inspiration from popular survival shows, incorporating timed challenges where players must quickly move between blue and green lights whilst avoiding red zones that cost valuable points.

The Digital Archery Machine provides a safe yet thrilling archery experience. Players pick up a bow and arrow to aim at targets in this fully automated system. Once finished, a simple button press sends the target face forward, allowing quick retrieval of arrows and seamless transition into the next round. This activity offers a taste of traditional archery enhanced by modern technology.

For those seeking competitive thrills, the Cycling Competition station features four cycling setups perfect for group races. As participants pedal, their points accumulate in real time, and 3D avatars race across digital tracks displayed on screen. This engaging blend of physical exercise and digital gaming creates an energetic atmosphere that encourages friendly rivalry.

Duel Ball brings an element of strategic teamwork, ideally played in two-versus-two format. Players throw mini balls at icons displayed on screens behind their opponents, earning points based on accuracy. Meanwhile, the defending team must block incoming balls to prevent scoring. This fast-paced game demands coordination, quick reflexes, and tactical thinking.

The venue also houses Console Pods, which are open booths equipped with Nintendo Switch consoles and ambient lighting. Six pods in total provide comfortable spaces for gaming sessions, with titles including popular choices like Super Smash Bros Ultimate and Overcooked 2. These pods also connect to Netflix, allowing visitors to enjoy their favourite shows. Anyone with an entry pass can use the pods, though children under 10 require adult supervision. Whilst there’s no strict time limit, staff may request visitors to accommodate others during peak periods.

Beyond these highlights, the New Chinatown Arcade offers AI Projector Gaming that transforms floors into interactive playgrounds, a Team Basketball Challenge for sports enthusiasts, Racing Simulators for speed lovers, billiards tables, darts, VR gaming experiences, and claw machines that accept tokens starting from one dollar each.

Cultural Experience with Han Embroidery

Adding a unique cultural dimension to the gaming experience, the New Chinatown Arcade will introduce Han Embroidery workshops starting from 15th November 2025. This traditional craft originated from Wuhan, China, and visitors can learn the delicate art of needlework under the guidance of Chen Minlu, a skilled disciple of a Han embroidery master.

The workshop welcomes beginners and provides an opportunity to create elaborate designs whilst learning about this intricate cultural heritage. This thoughtful addition balances the high-energy gaming activities with a calming, creative pursuit, making the venue appealing to a broader audience. Pricing details for the embroidery workshops will be announced closer to the opening date.

Flexible Admission Options

The New Chinatown Arcade operates daily from 11am to 11pm, offering two primary ticket types to suit different visit durations and budgets. The Hourly Pass costs 12 dollars per person from Monday to Thursday, and 15 dollars per person from Friday to Sunday and public holidays. These passes grant unlimited access to all zones and games.

For those planning extended visits, the Whole Day Pass presents excellent value. Priced at 58 dollars per person from Monday to Thursday, and 68 dollars per person on Fridays and Sundays, this pass allows visitors to enjoy unlimited gaming from 11am to 11pm. However, the Whole Day Pass is not available on Saturdays, public holidays, and the eve of public holidays.

Both ticket types apply the same rates for adults and children aged two to 10 years. Children under 10 must be accompanied by an adult throughout their visit. During busy periods, some popular activities like the Console Pods may require queuing at the front desk. Additional charges apply only for claw machines and photobooth tokens.

Perfect Venue for Celebrations

The New Chinatown Arcade caters to special occasions with party packages that simplify event planning. Individual bookings are available at 12 dollars per hour per person from Monday to Thursday, and 15 dollars per hour from Friday to Sunday. For those wanting exclusive use, the entire venue can be reserved for 1,200 dollars per hour from Monday to Thursday, or 1,500 dollars per hour from Friday to Sunday. Both options accommodate up to 100 guests, making it suitable for birthdays, team-building events, or large family gatherings.

Planning Your Visit

Given the venue’s popularity, booking appointments online in advance is highly recommended, particularly for weekend visits when crowds tend to be larger. Early bookings ensure guaranteed entry and help avoid disappointment. Visitors should also consider that some activities may have queues during peak hours, so arriving early or visiting on weekdays might provide a more relaxed experience.

The New Chinatown Arcade requires visitors to scan wristbands at entry gates after paying admission fees. This streamlined system allows smooth access whilst tracking which guests are inside the facility. Staff members are available to assist with any questions or provide guidance on games and activities.

For those combining the arcade visit with other Chinatown attractions, the area offers numerous dining options, cultural sites like the Buddha Tooth Relic Temple and Chinatown Heritage Centre, and the bustling street markets that showcase Singapore’s rich Chinese heritage.

A Fresh Entertainment Concept

The New Chinatown Arcade represents a fresh approach to entertainment in Singapore by combining diverse gaming styles under one accessible pass. The blend of physical activities like cycling and archery, digital experiences with AI projector gaming, classic arcade elements, and cultural workshops creates a comprehensive entertainment destination that stands apart from traditional arcades.

Whether visitors seek heart-pounding competitive games, relaxing creative workshops, or quality time with loved ones in console pods, the facility delivers variety that keeps each visit feeling fresh and exciting. The venue’s central location, reasonable pricing structure, and innovative game selection make it a worthwhile addition to Singapore’s entertainment scene, particularly for those seeking alternatives to conventional weekend activities.
