The next big dates in Singapore events are the PGL CS2 Major, from 25 November to 13 December 2026, with the final four days at the Singapore Indoor Stadium, according to organiser PGL. The BYD Singapore International Marathon runs from 4 to 6 December 2026, according to the event’s listings. HSBC SVNS Singapore, the rugby sevens leg, returns to the National Stadium on 30 and 31 January 2027, according to The Kallang. For the latest Singapore sports news, those three are your anchors.

This guide covers each event, what to book and what is not yet confirmed.

What Singapore Events In Sport Are Coming Up?

The PGL CS2 Major Singapore 2026 is a Counter-Strike 2 tournament with 32 teams, according to PGL’s event page. It runs over three stages, and the last four days move to the Singapore Indoor Stadium. A trade report says it is the first CS2 Major in Southeast Asia, with a prize pool of $1,250,000.

The BYD Singapore International Marathon is the long-running race formerly called the Standard Chartered Singapore Marathon. Ahboy says this is the first title sponsor change in 22 years. The Catalyst Feed, citing CNA, reports the kids’ events, 5 km and 10 km on 4 December, the half marathon on 5 December and the marathon on 6 December.

HSBC SVNS Singapore is the only Southeast Asian stop on the rugby sevens series, according to The Kallang. It is known as the “Family SVNS”, with rugby-themed games, family zones and kids’ play areas.

A short answer to “what is on in the next three months?” is the esports Major in late November and December, and the marathon weekend in early December.

How Do The Events Compare?

Here is a quick summary of the confirmed dates.

Marathon weekends have a pattern. Wikipedia says the race is held on the first Sunday of December, and the first competitive marathon in Singapore took place on 5 December 1982. One running calendar expects the 2027 edition in early December 2027, but that is an expectation, not a confirmed date.

Should I Book Now Or Wait?

Book as soon as you decide. Big events take over transport, hotels and restaurants near Kallang. If you plan to run the marathon, check the registration status on the organiser’s page first, because entry windows can close.

I would also plan your travel before you buy tickets. Stadium crowds leave at the same time, and the last train can be busy. Eat before you go, and leave extra time for security queues.

Here is the blunt limitation. This list includes only events with dates confirmed by organisers or official pages. It does not include events still to be announced, so dates for next year’s Singapore Grand Prix are not listed here. Check each organiser’s page before you commit.

What Should Runners Know About Marathon Weekend?

The marathon is a large event. Ahotu describes the race as Southeast Asia’s longest-standing World Athletics Gold Label race, held in early December. The weekend includes a Kids Dash, a 5 km, a Standard Chartered 10 km, an adidas Half Marathon, the BYD Marathon and a Crew Challenge.

Ahotu’s news archive reports more than 44,000 runners in the 2023 edition. Wikipedia says Singapore’s hot and humid climate tends to make finishing times slower than at other marathons.

If you are new to running, a shorter distance is a good start. If you are a spectator, expect road closures around the course, so plan your route and give yourself extra time. A running calendar from Catalyst Performance lists 39 running events in Singapore for 2027, so there are more races after this one.
