The Budget 2026 measures include the Enhanced Cost-of-Living Special Payment, a CPF top-up, U-Save rebates and CDC Vouchers, according to the government’s Govbenefits page, last updated on 2 October 2026. Each Singaporean household can claim $500 in CDC Vouchers from June 2026 and another $300 from January 2027. Eligible HDB households get double the regular U-Save in FY2026. For the latest Singapore news on support, this page is the place to check.

This guide explains who qualifies, what you get and what still needs your attention.

What Support Is Available This Year, And Who Gets It?

The Enhanced B2026 Cost-of-Living Special Payment is for Singapore citizens aged 21 and above in 2026. You must have earned $100,000 or less in assessable income in 2024 and own no more than one property, according to Govbenefits. Amounts range from $400 to $600, depending on income and the Annual Value of your home. It was paid automatically in September 2026, mostly by PayNow-NRIC.

The B2026 CPF Top-Up is for citizens aged 50 and above in 2026. Retirement savings at 31 December 2025 must be below the 2026 Basic Retirement Sum of $110,200, and your home’s Annual Value must not exceed $31,000. It will be credited in December 2026 to your CPF Retirement Account, or Special Account if you have no Retirement Account.

U-Save is for eligible HDB households with at least one Singapore citizen owner or occupier, and with no member owning more than one property. No sign-up is needed.

A short answer to “do I need to apply?” is no for the payment, the CPF top-up and U-Save. CDC Vouchers need you to claim them.

How Much Is U-Save, And When Does It Arrive?

The government added a second support package on 29 July 2026. Govbenefits says the 2026 Additional U-Save is paid on top of the Budget 2026 U-Save, so eligible HDB households receive double the regular amount in FY2026. The additional rebates arrive with the regular rebate in October 2026 and January 2027.

Here is the full-year total by flat type, according to Govbenefits.

HDB Flat Type

Total U-Save In FY2026

1- and 2-room

$760

3-room

$680

4-room

$600

5-room

$520

Executive and Multi-generation

$440

The rebates go into your utilities account with SP Services. Unused rebates roll over to later months, but you cannot cash them out, according to Govbenefits.

How Do I Claim CDC Vouchers?

Every Singaporean household can claim $500 from June 2026, and an additional $300 from January 2027. The vouchers are valid until 31 December 2027, according to Govbenefits, and are meant for participating heartland merchants, hawkers and supermarkets. The page points to vouchers.cdc.gov.sg for claim details and the list of participating merchants.

What Should I Watch Out For?

Tell older relatives about these schemes, because many payments are automatic and an unexpected message can look suspicious to them.

Scams are the main risk. The Govbenefits page says government officials will never ask you to transfer money or share bank log-in details over a phone call. If you are unsure, call the ScamShield helpline at 1799. Always check that a website ends in .gov.sg.

Here is the blunt limitation. Eligibility depends on your income, property, age and household, and this guide cannot check your personal case. Log in to the Govbenefits e-services with Singpass to see what applies to you, and note that amounts and dates can change in later announcements.

What Does The Latest Singapore News Say About Other Schemes?

Govbenefits also lists other schemes on its site, including the Assurance Package, GST Voucher, Majulah Package, Silver Support Scheme and Workfare Income Supplement. Check each page, because the criteria differ.

Moneysmart reports that December 2026 brings the final Assurance Package cash payout, for Singaporeans aged 21 and above, at between $100 and $250 depending on circumstances. It adds that once the Assurance Package ends, the permanent GST Voucher scheme becomes the regular support, with cash and MediSave top-ups in August and U-Save and Service and Conservancy Charges rebates each quarter.

Because schemes overlap, it helps to make a simple calendar. Note each month’s payment, the account it goes to and any action you need to take. That way you will notice if something is missing.
